Innovative Warning System at Grenchen Airport – Delta-4 Siren with Remote Triggering
We have installed a Delta-4 siren, including an IoT remote triggering and monitoring system, at Grenchen Airport. According to ICAO Doc 9137 (Airport Services Manual), airports and airfields are required to have suitable alerting and communication systems in place that enable rapid communication between the control tower, the fire department, emergency responders, and other relevant parties. Our solution meets these requirements with a high-performance siren, local activation via a siren control box, and an additional IoT-based remote control and monitoring solution.
In the following video, you can see the installation and commissioning of the system, as well as an interview with Mr. Michael Steinbach, CEO of Grenchen Airport, discussing the requirements of airport operations, the background of the project, and the benefits of a modern warning and alarm system.
